What is the history of the sunflower cream?
Originally developed by Salisbury District Hospital, the cream first went on sale in 1989. It was featured as an excellent alternative to expensive beauty creams and proved extremely popular. It was originally formulated for the care of burns and plastic surgery patients. In 2012 the hospital saw an opportunity to re-brand and further develop the cream for a wider market and My Trusty Little Sunflower Cream® was born.

What makes the sunflower cream unique?
The product is unique as it contains 5% sunflower oil and is the first moisturising cream to be developed and commercialised by the NHS.

What is our policy on animal testing?
We will not test our products on animals.
We have instructed our manufacturers not to test our products on animals.

What is our cream made of?
Here is a full list of ingredients for our two creams:

  • Unscented:
    Aqua (water), Cetearyl Alcohol, Helianthus Annus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Phenoxyethanol, Benzoic Acid, Dehydroacetic Acid, Ethylhexylglycerin, Polyaminopropyl Biguanide.
  • Lavender Scented:
    Aqua (water), Cetearyl Alcohol, Helianthus Annus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Phenoxyethanol, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil, Linalool, Benzoic Acid, Dehydroacetic Acid, Ethylhexylglyrcerin, Polyaminopropyl Biguanide, Geraniol, Limonene.

Does the cream contain parabens?
No, the product does not contain parabens.

Are there any perfumes in the cream?
The cream contains no perfumes. The Lavender scented product contains pure Lavender essential oil.

How much does delivery outside the UK cost?

Does My Trusty Little Sunflower Cream® contain Methylistothiazolinone (MI) or Methylchlorisothiazonline (MCI)?
No, My Trusty® does not contain either of those two preservatives.

What are parabens?
Parabens are the most widely used preservatives in personal care products, they have been widely used in the industry for almost 70 years but recently questions have been raised about their health effects
